Despite being completely off his nut, Pete Doherty actually showed up As for the gig, i think Pete Doherty walks the fine line between being a complete sh1t wreck waster & a mis-understood, wayward genius. Either way the gig was an un-predictable & enjoyable shambles. The highlight for me, was when he tried to play the guitar whilst crowd surfing

Went to see Sunn O))) & Earth last night, at the Custard Factory in Birmingham. Earth were alright, but Sunn were a sinister & enjoyable experience. Very heavy, very dark, very loud, with lots of feedback & vibrations.

sounds like an interesting night out! i went to the custard factory once for some whiskys! Custard Factory is a fascinating venue. The gig was fantastic from a curiosity point of view. Earth are probably the pioneers of drone metal. And when Kurt Cobain was alive, he even did guest vocals, as he was a big fan of Earth. Sunn O))) on the other hand, are something else. Earth are good, but Sunn are better. They're also supposedly one of the loudest bands ever, i agree, never heard anything like it, it was great There's even an myth, that people have had involuntary bowel movements, due to the sound they create I haven't got any gigs lined up at the moment, just waiting for bands to confirm tour dates.
