Which albums have you purchased & what has impressed you, so far in 2006?
My top 3 highlights, at the moment.
1) Tool - 10,000 days. Love this album, for what it is. A natural progression & evolution from the last album Lateralus. Song's like Vicarious, Jambi, The Pot & Rosetta Stoned are pure schizo & manic pleasure. Superb. Hail MJK.
2) Cult Of Luna - Somewhere Along The Highway. Brutal & beautiful melancholy. Finland is an awesome song. Overall top stuff & great live.
3) Mastodon - Call Of The Mastodon. Metal greatness in waiting. Basically a re-issue & remastered version of the Lifesblood EP, plus extra tracks. Also released as a thank you & goodbye to Relapse Records, before they joined Warner Music. New album released later this year. The revolution continues.
And a special mention, for the boogie pirate material, that is the new Eagles Of Death Metal album "Death By Sexy". Aswell as the Dirty Pretty Things debut album "Waterloo To Anywhere", which i still haven't listened too.

I'm really liking the Khoma album "The Second Wave" at the moment, it's lovely & brutal. Johannes Persson is also the guitarist in Cult Of Luna, top bloke, with two top albums. www.myspace.com/khoma

I'm looking forward to hearing Thom Yorke's solo album, which is released next month. The Eraser dont think it will be an easy listening singalong album!
