England defender Gary Neville has suffered a setback in his hopes of returning to full fitness at the World Cup finals in Germany.
The 31-year-old was hoping to return from a calf problem for the quarter-finals, providing England progress past Ecuador.
On Saturday, England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said: "He worked yesterday out on the pitch but felt it this morning."
Eriksson added: "So it is one step backwards for him unfortunately."

Not a good decision, i agree with Carrick but why not leave Jamie at right back?

Not a good decision, i agree with Carrick but why not leave Jamie at right back? he is worried about jamies lack of pace against the quick ecuador left winger, but owen is hardly linford christie himself!

Honestly can't remember seeing Hargreaves there on Sunday! Blimey. Neville or Carragher please.

Honestly can't remember seeing Hargreaves there on Sunday! sometimes thats a good thing though surely...no major fluffs or blunders, did the job asked of him well and was consistent throughout?

True, but I mean HONESTLY can't remember! Was he shown at all? Did I have too much ale? I remember him being announced as starting there, but that's about it!
